'Tomi Tennis

May not be obvious to tell straight away because of the pigtails, but fans will know this is indeed Hitomi from DOA once again, wearing one of her tennis costumes from DOAU, whilst playing tennis, obviously. PS7 and graphics tablet entirely. Lineart that-a-way: [link]

Its entire process lasting only a week, this is probably my quickest pic yet, but it's fairly obvious that it's not in the same, refined-to-hell-and-back style I usually go for with my DOA girly pics. No, this is a much more rough around the edges, with hard tones and an exclusively black, un-refined outline, which is what I wanted from the get-go. I'm not going to do all my future pics like this, but it is a much more efficient way of doing things, and I felt a bit free-er with this because I was able to just slap colours and everything on haphazardly, without too much concern for everything, which was a nice change. I'd like to do more of these experimental "quick pics" every now and then. A bit like some of my older works, before I discovered how to access Photoshop's softer brush .

I've changed the right elbow area a little bit in accordance with some suggestions I recieved, and looking at it now, I see the improvement. Hopefully you guys will agree ^^. Didn't really have any beef with the colouring. I wanted to add the tennis ball somewhere, so it seemed as if she'd just hit it, but I couldn't find a decent place for it, given the angle she must have hit it at. I also thought about making it more active, as it just doesn't seem to be "motion-y" enough for what I had imagined. Oh well, something to think about next time. I like how the skirt came out, actually. Something about it looks quite believeable, in a way. Hair's quite nice too, on the fringe anyway.

So, lay it on me, people! Especially any passing tennis players. I've probably done something wrong with the pose or racket or something .
